Pacific Jamboree 2019

Like any trip that takes a year of planning, fundraisers and loads of preparations. For that year, It often felt for many of us, this trip was a myth, something out there that we have not tangibly experienced yet. Once we boarded a plane, crossed 3 time zones and witnessed the majesty of the Rockies. Thats when it got real.

Our Troop was challenged with sleep deprivation, weird weather, big slugs, cooler weather, traffic stopping for us to cross the street, a greener approach to garbage and endless tall trees. The explorer in all of us truly shined, we enjoyed every minute of these changes, even though , we were still in our own country.

Very proud of our trip out west, and even more humbled on how our Scouts went full throttle to discover what an adventure like a jamboree has to offer. Big thanks to all the volunteers (OOS) who made the Pacific Jamboree possible for our young people, and another big Kudos to our Troop Scouters who travelled across our vast country with 16 youth in tow on their own dime and time to bring this experience to life.

This trip was not a myth, it was legendary, and we have proof, look at their faces.
