FAQ

Will the camp have a Parking area?
Camp will provide an area for parking vehicles for the event. There will be a drop off zone also set up for those just being brought or picked up at camp. 

Can youth attend alone?
Yes, all youth attending alone will be assigned with our event composite team.

What does the $25 fee include?
The fee includes your site fees for Friday night camping, lunch on Saturday, materials distributed and a crest. 

What if my section would like or require to stay on Saturday night?
Camp Sheldrick is able to accommodate participants to stay another night. You will need to sign up ahead of time with the camp warden, Eric, info@campsheldrick.com

What should our Section bring to camp?
Your section is responsible for bringing their own tents, stoves and proper equipment to sleep over night provide their own snacks and cook their own breakfast.

How can we help?

To go along with your registration we ask that your section has one youth volunteer for one of our teams to help YouthCon run as smoothly as possible. Being a part of a team will not take any time out of the workshops on the Saturday! The teams we are looking to fill are:

Safety Team (First Aiders)

  • Valid First Aid Training

  • Ready to out when needed

  • Has First Aid Kit

Kitchen Team

  • Prepare Mug Up/Popcorn on the Friday Night

  • Work together to prepare Saturday lunch (BBQ)

Logistics Team (On Site)

  • Work with the rest of the team to support on site in an efficient manner

  • Management of on site parking

  • Management of group sites. Where? How much? 

  • Run admin and Registration table Friday Night

Facilitator Support Team

  • Ensure that all facilitators are set and ready to run their workshops

  • Make sure that all supplies are with facilitators

  • Support the training of other facilitators

Communication and Social Media Team

  • In person photos throughout the day and make sure that they are posted online

  • Keep up to date with the emails and information being sent to groups/section

  • Help to answer any questions that are not answered on the FAQ

Social Committee

  • Help to prepare and organize social activities for the Friday night

  • Make sure that all supplies needed are ready for social activities
